Talk on R&D, Innovation, University Partnerships and Competitiveness

At DG Impianti Industriali S.p.A. we hosted our 𝗧𝗮𝗹𝗸 𝗼𝗻 𝗥&𝗗, 𝗜𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗲𝘁𝗶𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀, an event that confirms how internal knowledge sharing is a strategic driver of growth.
This meeting is part of a series of company events designed to share projects, results, and new challenges with all employees 🎯. We believe that transparency, open dialogue, and active participation are essential to strengthening skills, a shared vision, and professional development.

During the talk, we presented three 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 & 𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁𝘀 carried out in collaboration with the academic world:
• Martina De Marco (Università degli Studi dell’Aquila) – From waste to resource: silver recovery from photovoltaic panels
• Francesco Simonetti (Università degli Studi dell’Aquila) – Firmware development for sensors and a new communication system
• Stefano Di Giacomo (Università degli Studi “Gabriele d’Annunzio”) – BEAST Project: CO₂ capture, from research to the Pilot Plant

📈 These three contributions clearly demonstrated how collaboration with universities (through internships, theses, and research grants) generates 𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝘃𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗲 for the company: technological development, increased competitiveness, a stronger market position, and access to highly specialized expertise.

It was also a great opportunity to highlight and introduce the young researchers who already collaborate with our company. Their energy, ideas, and enthusiasm are a concrete expression of our commitment to nurturing talent and building the future of our team together.

For us, investing in the dialogue between business and universities means laying the foundations for tomorrow’s innovation and strengthening our leadership in the sector.
