MIMIT 2026

Yesterday in Rome, at the Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy, the Third National Symposium on Critical Raw Materials for Energy took place, promoted by OIMCE, World Energy Council Italia and Assorisorse.
As DG Impianti Industriali, we were part of the working group “Secondary resources, mining sites and strategic value chains: a scenario analysis for Italian industry”, together with Assorisorse, Fondazione Eni Enrico Mattei (FEEM), Sibelco Group, Minerali Industriali Srl and Università di Bologna.
The scenario analysis is the result of a collective effort: months of work side by side between those who extract, process, research and engineer the plants.
The shared message is clear: supply security depends on integrated value chains, recovery of secondary resources, making the most of existing mining sites, and plants able to turn all of this into real industrial capacity.
The challenge now is moving from analysis to construction sites. We’re ready.
