Assolombarda is the association of companies operating in the Metropolitan City of Milan and in the provinces of Lodi, Monza and Brianza, and Pavia. With over 7,000 member companies and approximately 435,000 employees, it represents the largest territorial organization within the Confindustria system. Founded in 1945, Assolombarda aims to represent and protect the interests of its member companies, promoting their growth and competitiveness. It offers specialized services and consulting on key topics such as innovation, sustainability, employment, training, internationalization, taxation, and digital transition. The association fosters networking among companies through its sectoral supply chains, which cover areas such as agri-food, automotive, consumer goods, life sciences, energy, and the built environment. Assolombarda is actively involved in the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR), contributing to strategic missions such as digitalization, innovation, competitiveness, culture, and tourism. Moreover, it promotes initiatives for inclusion and social cohesion, supporting female empowerment and youth employability. Assorisorse
Assorisorse – Natural Resources and Sustainable Energy is the industrial association of Confindustria representing around 100 Italian and international companies active across the entire natural resources and energy value chain. Born from the evolution of Assomineraria, the association promotes the valorization of natural resources and intellectual expertise through technological innovation, circular economy practices, and the decarbonization of industrial processes, with the aim of fostering environmental, economic, and social sustainability. Its member companies operate in strategic sectors such as solid mineral extraction, hydrocarbon and geothermal fluid exploration and production, natural gas storage, and the provision of services and technologies for the energy industry. Assorisorse is structured into four sectors: Mining, Subsurface Energy Resources, Services, and Carbon Neutrality & Circular Economy. The association is a member of Confindustria and adheres to the United Nations Global Compact. It is actively engaged in dialogue with local, national, and European institutions to help shape sustainable energy and industrial policies. Through studies, research, and initiatives, Assorisorse supports companies in their journey toward energy transition and climate neutrality.

Italian Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Association
H2IT
H2IT – Italian Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Association, founded in 2005, is an independent organization that promotes the development of hydrogen-related technologies in Italy. It brings together over 130 members, including large, medium, and small enterprises, research centers, universities, technology clusters, and local authorities, covering the entire hydrogen value chain: from production, through logistics, distribution, storage, up to the final uses in mobility, residential, power generation, and industry. The association aims to stimulate the creation of hydrogen infrastructure, ensuring a leadership role for Italy in the global hydrogen market. H2IT works to establish favorable political and regulatory conditions for the development of the hydrogen market in Italy. Among its initiatives, H2IT launched the H2ERE Network digital platform, in collaboration with Assolombarda and LE2C, serving as a meeting point between companies and research entities to accelerate the growth of the hydrogen sector in Lombardy. In addition, the association is involved in several national and international projects such as LIFE3H, HyCARE, and H2Haul, focused on hydrogen applications in areas ranging from sustainable mobility to energy storage. Headquartered in Milan, H2IT is a key reference point for the Italian hydrogen ecosystem, supporting the energy transition toward a zero-emission future.

The European Clean Hydrogen Alliance
ECH2A
The European Clean Hydrogen Alliance (ECH2A) is an initiative launched by the European Commission in July 2020 to promote the large-scale development of clean hydrogen technologies by 2030. The Alliance brings together over 840 projects and involves a wide range of stakeholders, with the goal of creating a renewable and low-carbon hydrogen value chain in Europe. ECH2A aims to stimulate investment and support the production and use of clean hydrogen, contributing to the EU’s industrial leadership and accelerating the decarbonization of industry in line with climate objectives. Through roundtables and thematic working groups, the Alliance addresses market, regulatory, infrastructure, and technological barriers hindering the deployment of clean hydrogen. The Alliance is open to all organizations active in the renewable or low-carbon hydrogen sector that meet the membership criteria and are committed to sharing the Alliance’s vision and contributing to its operational work.

The Green Hydrogen Coalition
GHC
The Green Hydrogen Coalition (GHC) is a non-profit educational organization founded in 2019 with the goal of promoting the large-scale production and use of green hydrogen for cross-sector decarbonization. Unique in its approach, the GHC focuses on three core areas: education, coalition building, and market development. Its mission is to propose policies and practices that accelerate the production and use of green hydrogen across all sectors, driving the transition toward a carbon-free energy system. Through initiatives such as HyBuild™ North America, GHC aims to launch regional green hydrogen ecosystems to create scalable and low-cost supply chains. The GHC is also committed to educational programs, including the publication of the second edition of the Green Hydrogen Guidebook, which provides accessible information on the production, distribution, and applications of green hydrogen. Based in the United States, the GHC serves as a key reference point in the green hydrogen ecosystem, supporting the energy transition toward a zero-emission future.

National Association of Industrial Plant Engineering
ANIMP
ANIMP (National Association of Industrial Plant Engineering) is the leading organization for companies and professionals active in the industrial plant engineering sector in Italy. Founded in 1973 as a bridge between academia and industry, ANIMP promotes the technical, cultural, and scientific development of plant engineering, encouraging collaboration among companies, universities, and institutions. The association has over 500 members, including general contractors, component and service suppliers, SMEs, university professors, and professionals. Through its activities, ANIMP aims to build a network that connects people, skills, and business entities within industrial engineering, fostering a strategic vision for the sector’s growth. ANIMP is the only organization in Italy authorized to issue IPMA (International Project Management Association) certifications for project managers, offering internationally recognized training and certification programs. The association organizes events such as the National Conference, workshops, and seminars on specialized topics, and publishes the bi-monthly magazine “Impiantistica Italiana” and the annual directory of member companies. With over 40 years of activity, ANIMP remains a key reference point for the Italian plant engineering industry, promoting innovation, training, and business competitiveness both nationally and internationally.

The Italian Pressure Equipment Association
AIPE
The Italian Pressure Equipment Association (AIPE) is a non-profit business organization representing Italian manufacturers in the pressure equipment and boiler sector. Founded in Rome on July 4, 2014, by leading companies in the industry, AIPE was established to address technological, regulatory, and market challenges efficiently and effectively, both nationally and internationally. As around 90% of this sector’s production is exported, this underscores the sector’s strategic importance within the national industrial landscape. AIPE promotes the technological, scientific, and economic development of its members through trainings, events, consultancy, and regulatory activities. The association is an active member of UNI (Italian National Standards Body) and the Italian Thermotechnical Committee, contributing to the development of technical and regulatory standards. One of AIPE’s flagship initiatives is the “Italian Critical Process Equipment Days”, a biennial event that brings together manufacturers, technology providers, and international stakeholders to discuss the latest innovations and energy transition strategies. Confindustria Abruzzo Medio Adriatico is the main association representing businesses in the provinces of Chieti, Pescara, and Teramo. It was established on December 18, 2023, through the merger of Confindustria Chieti Pescara and Confindustria Teramo. This union created one of the largest Confindustria organizations in Southern Italy, representing over 1,000 companies operating in the manufacturing, services, and innovation sectors. The new association is headquartered in Pescara, with an operational office in Teramo, and maintains local offices in Vasto and Val di Sangro. The association organizes events, workshops, and initiatives to foster collaboration among businesses and encourage the adoption of advanced technologies and sustainable practices. With a forward-looking vision, the association positions itself as a key player in the region’s economic development, supporting companies in their journey toward innovation and market adaptation.

Society of Petroleum Engineers
Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE)
The Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) is a nonprofit professional organization that brings together over 127,000 members in 145 countries, including engineers, scientists, managers, and students active in the oil and natural gas exploration and production sector. Founded in 1957 as an evolution of the Petroleum Division of the American Institute of Mining, Metallurgical, and Petroleum Engineers (AIME), SPE aims to collect, disseminate, and exchange technical knowledge related to the energy industry, promoting innovation and professional development. SPE offers a wide range of resources, including the OnePetro technical library, which contains over 1.3 million technical documents from 23 participating organizations, and PetroWiki, a collaborative encyclopedia based on the Petroleum Engineering Handbook. The association also publishes peer-reviewed scientific journals such as the SPE Journal, as well as specialized magazines including the Journal of Petroleum Technology (JPT), Oil and Gas Facilities (OGF), The Way Ahead (TWA), HSE Now, and Data Science and Digital Engineering (DSDE). Offshore Renewable Energy Association
Offshore Renewable Energy Association (AERO)
The Offshore Renewable Energy Association (AERO) is a nonprofit organization that promotes the development of offshore renewable energy in Italy, with the goal of making the country a leader in the industry. Founded to seize the opportunity to create jobs and increase public trust in offshore renewable energy, AERO engages local communities to foster acceptance and the spread of the technologies. AERO’s mission is to contribute to the establishment of a clear, predictable, stable, and transparent regulatory framework that supports sector growth not only in terms of installed capacity but also in building an Italian supply chain that generates wealth and employment in the country. The association aims to leverage the experience and expertise of Italian companies in offshore construction and logistics, promoting technological innovation and attracting international talent. The association publishes the periodical “AERO Magazine” and has released the first position paper on offshore floating photovoltaics in Italy, available for free on the official website. Italian Nuclear Association
Italian Nuclear Association (AIN)
The Italian Nuclear Association (AIN) is a nonprofit technical-scientific organization representing Italy’s centers of expertise in the field of nuclear energy and technologies. Founded in 1958 as the Italian Forum for Nuclear Energy (FIEN), it adopted its current name in 1999 by merging the activities of the historic associations FIEN, ANDIN, and SNI. Since 2005, AIN has been recognized as a legal entity and is authorized to interact with governmental institutions. AIN aims to promote the development of peaceful applications of nuclear energy, in compliance with national and international regulations, and to foster dialogue among agencies, institutions, companies, and individuals interested in the sector. The association actively participates in international forums, representing Italy within the European Nuclear Society (ENS) and the European Atomic Forum (FORATOM). Among its main activities, AIN develops expert positions on topics such as decommissioning, radioactive waste management, and nuclear fusion. It also promotes research, education, and scientific outreach through publications, conferences, and seminars. Open-es is a system initiative promoted by Eni, in collaboration with Boston Consulting Group and Google Cloud, launched in 2021 to support companies on their sustainable development journey through an open and free digital platform. The platform brings together companies, institutions, and organizations into a collaborative ecosystem, facilitating the measurement, sharing, and improvement of ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) performance across the entire value chain. Open-es offers tools to assess sustainability performance, access industry benchmarks, and develop personalized action plans. Companies can share data and information with stakeholders, obtain an initial version of their Sustainability Report, and participate in a collaboration area to exchange experiences and best practices. The platform’s Development Hub provides training courses, services to measure environmental impact, and tools to communicate sustainability commitments. Open-es involves over 32,000 companies across 110 countries and 66 industrial sectors, promoting collaboration among companies to tackle the challenges of the energy and digital transition. With a simple and flexible approach, Open-es aims to be a reference point for companies seeking to integrate sustainability into their strategies, contributing to economic growth and the competitiveness of the business system.
