Hydragraph Project Successfully Concluded

The Hydragraph project came to a close on June 30. The initiative was developed in collaboration with Prof. Pietro Di Profio and his research team at the Gas Hydrate Facility (GHF) of the Department of Pharmacy of the Gabriele d’Annunzio University of Chieti-Pescara, together with the University of Bari.
🌱 Funded under Italy’s National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR) – Mission 2 “Green Revolution and Ecological Transition”, Component 2 “Renewable Energy, Hydrogen, Grid and Sustainable Mobility”, Investment 3.5 “Research and Development on Hydrogen” – the project aimed to develop innovative clathrate- and graphene-based technologies for hydrogen storage, characterized by low energy requirements, high net energy content, and reduced environmental impact.
📈 The research findings were presented in recent days by Prof. Di Profio at the International & European Conference on Gas Hydrates (ICGH–ECGH 2026), held in Lyon from June 29 to July 3. The conference is one of the leading international events for the scientific community working in the field of gas hydrates.
🌍 For DG Impianti Industriali, this achievement represents a significant milestone. The Hydragraph project is part of a broader commitment to investing in technologies that support the energy transition. In recent years, we have worked alongside university research centers to develop innovative solutions for hydrogen storage and management, a key element in the decarbonization strategies of industrial processes.
