Waste Management Conference 2026 in Bologna

We are proud to have participated as speakers at the Waste Management Conference 2026 in Bologna, an important opportunity to exchange insights on sustainability, the circular economy, and industrial innovation.
In our talk “From Waste to Resource: The Potential of Photovoltaic Panel Recycling” we shared our perspective on the future of PV panel recycling and the strategic role that advanced recycling can play in Europe’s energy transition 🌍
Photovoltaics represent a major opportunity, but they require a truly circular value chain, one capable of turning end-of-life panels into valuable new resources.
PV modules contain critical materials such as silver and silicon, whose recovery can contribute both to reducing environmental impacts and strengthening Europe’s industrial resilience.
We also presented the HydroPV project, the industrial application of the Silver REC technology patented by the Università degli Studi dell’Aquila, aimed at the selective recovery of metals from photovoltaic WEEE through innovative processes with low environmental impact 🌱
A sincere thank you to Global Symposium Ltd – Italy for organizing the event, to Annamaria Arca for the invitation, and to all participants for the engaging discussion on topics that are increasingly strategic for the future of industry and sustainability.
