EPPC (Egyptian propylene and polypropylene Company) has awarded to DG Impianti the engineering and manufacturing of a propane electrical heater package, to be installed in Egypt as part of Damietta Export Facilities Modifications.

The package, composed mainly from an electric heater (Heating rate 1900 kW) , a control panel and a step down transformer, is designed and constructed to be suitable for outdoors continuous operation in presence of marine environment.

The package is aimed to heat up the propane gas received from UGDC from temperature -46°C to a maximum +5°C to avoid propane vaporization. Then this heated liquid propane will be pumped to the storage tanks of EPPC to be used for the production of propylene and with more polymerization process to produce polypropylene.
